Kyrie Irving has officially debuted and confirmed his next signature shoe, the Kyrie 8, during training in Los Angeles.
Formerly thought to be the Kyrie 9, last year’s model was renamed the Nike Kyrie Infinity after Kyrie disapproved and denounced his involvement on the sneaker. That said, the Kyrie 8 will most likely be Kyrie’s last signature shoe with Nike Basketball.
Dressed in a White, University Red, Black, and Wolf Grey color scheme. The Nike Kyrie 8 features a completely new design constructed in a mix of materials utilizing a React foam midsole equipped with Air Zoom Strobel. Other details includes Kyrie’s mother, Elizabeth Ann Irving, on the toe of the midsole along with roman numerals stitched on the medial heels. The 8 and 13 nods to Kyrie’s mom’s birthday (August 13), while the 11 and 23 represents his daughters Azurie birthday (November 23).
Nike Kyrie 8 Release Date
Look for the Nike Kyrie 8 “White/University Red” to release on November 24th at select retailers and Nike.com. The retail price tag is set at $140 USD.
