Fresh off the Kobe 6 “Dodgers”, Nike is transplanting the Los Angeles tribute to the Kobe 5 with the upcoming Nike Kobe 5 Protro “Dodgers”. This will be one of the Kobe line’s more distinct sports-themed designs making a comeback.

The Rush Blue takes up most of the upper, with Wolf Grey Swooshes and Comet Red stitching providing the accents that connect the pair back to the Dodgers aesthetic. Standout details like the heel help grab your attention immediately, while giving the shoe its baseball-style flair that people loved about the original concept. This rendition sets itself apart from its predecessor with a blue midsole to match, allowing the shoe to flow seamlessly from top to sole.

Tucked inside the shoe, Nike further honors Kobe’s legacy with embroidered 8 and 24 on contrasting yellow-trimmed tabs behind the tongues. That small detail adds a unique flair to the release, yet it doesn’t detract from the understated color palette.

You can expect the Nike Kobe 5 Protro “Dodgers” to drop on August 15, 2026, from select Nike Basketball shops and Nike.com. Retailing at $190 USD.
