Villanova is getting its own version of the Nike KD 19, putting the Wildcats alongside other college basketball programs with custom pairs of Kevin Durant’s signature shoe. The design sticks with the school’s blue and white colors, while the usual KD branding on the tongue has been replaced with Villanova’s “V” logo.
The Nike KD 19 “Villanova” comes with a light blue upper, with darker navy accents covering the oversized TPU piece along the sides and the outsole. White takes care of the tongue, laces, and inner lining, and there’s also a small white Swoosh near the heel. The Villanova logo on the tongue is the main detail separating this pair from a regular KD 19 colorway.
A few of the KD 19s we’ve seen already have gone with metallic finishes, but that’s not the case here. Villanova’s version keeps the school’s colors throughout, with custom branding that makes it seem like a pair made specifically for the basketball team. Nike hasn’t said whether these are player exclusives, so a wider release hasn’t been ruled out.
For now, there’s no confirmed release date for the Nike KD 19 “Villanova,” and it’s unclear whether the shoes will be available to the public.
