The Uptempo name is coming back to the basketball court through the Nike GT Uptempo, recently worn by Dylan Harper with the San Antonio Spurs. Expected in 2027 alongside the GT Force and GT Flight, the model brings another familiar Nike Basketball name into the Greater Than lineup.
A grid pattern runs across the upper, but there are recognizable GT Cut details in the design. Its overall shape is close to the GT Cut 3, and the midsole extends past the heel much like the GT Cut 4. Compared with the upcoming Force and Flight, the Uptempo looks more closely related to what’s already in the series.
Confirmed Air Zoom cushioning gives an early indication of the setup underfoot. ZoomX foam may also be included, though that remains unconfirmed.
The three upcoming models follow a stretch in which the GT Cut accounted for much of the Greater Than range, with four numbered releases and more affordable options like the GT Cut Academy. For 2027, the Force, Flight, and Uptempo names will share space in the lineup.
The Nike GT Uptempo “Metallic Silver/Black” worn by Harper is tentatively set to release on February 11, 2027, with a retail price of $200.
