Caitlin Clark spent her college years at Iowa going up against some of the biggest programs in the country, and Duke was among the teams she faced. Now the Blue Devils have their own version of her first Nike signature shoe. The Nike Caitlin 1 “Duke” PE has been made for the women’s basketball team, even though Clark never played for the school.
Duke has been getting quite a few special Nike basketball shoes lately. A Sabrina 4 PE in blue, white, and black recently showed up with the school’s “D” logo on the tongue. The team also received several player-exclusive pairs from Nike’s signature lineup last year, so adding Caitlin Clark’s model isn’t much of a surprise.
The Caitlin 1 comes with a mostly black upper, while Duke blue covers the “2” and “C” graphics built into the OptiCast material. Black also takes care of the tongue, laces, and midsole. White shows up on the Swoosh along the outside, the Duke logo on the tongue, and Clark’s “CC” branding on the support piece along the inner side of the shoe.
The Nike Caitlin 1 “Duke” PE won’t be released to the public, as this colorway was made specifically for Duke’s women’s basketball team.
