Nike designers are committed to constantly improving footwear to help athletes achieve peak performance while looking their best. The evolved approach to maximizing the support and natural motion intuitive to training comes to life in the Nike Free Trainer 5.0. The shoe’s woven upper has an eye-catching aesthetic — its high-performance aptitude sets it apart.

NIKEID OPTIONS
With NIKEiD, you can choose distinct colors and customize the outsole traction. Numerous color options abound for the upper, while all three outsole options have a DiamondFLX traction pattern for flexible, multidirectional grip. The solid and translucent rubber outsoles come in a wide array of colors, while the XDR outsole—designed specifically for outdoor training—features rubber pods configured in an aggressive pattern for extra traction and durability. Furthermore, the tongue top can also be customized with a name and number.

DESIGN INSPIRATION
Designers Laura Parrett and Jeff Rasmussen took inspiration from the Chinese finger trap device while designing the Nike Free Trainer 5.0. Like the toy, the upper consists of intertwined bands that are soft and pliable. When the foot is at rest or moving forward or backward, the bands are flexible and compliant. When pressure is applied with side-to-side movements the bands engage and tighten around the foot for enhanced support.

THREE PERFORMANCE BENEFITS DISTINGUISH THE NIKE FREE TRAINER 5.0:
Dynamic-fit technology for a glove-like fit
Natural motion design to deliver a barefoot-like feel with resilient cushioning
Aggressive rubber nodes on the sole that provide multi-surface traction

The Nike Free Trainer 5.0 is available globally on NIKEiD.com.
