The Nike Dunk Low “CBGB” takes inspiration from one of downtown New York City’s most influential music venues, linking the silhouette to the iconic club responsible for nurturing punk rock and new wave legends. Mark your calendars for June 2, 2026 on Nike.com and select retailers as this kicks drops for $130.
Inspiration for the shoe dives into CBGB’s grungy Bowery venue aesthetic more than an over-the-top homage. Torn and distressed material on the upper lends the Dunk a worn-in feel that pays homage to CBGB’s walls plastered with posters and its rugged interior.
CBGB logos are on the tongue and heel, while labels of the Bleecker and Bowery streets signs adorn the inner tongues. The corner itself is important, since that’s where the club originally resided and gives The Dunk an even deeper tie to the real location that inspired the story.
Nike doesn’t overplay its hand either, keeping the theme trimmed down. There’s not much to explain about this Dunk once you see the texture work, branding and street sign details all come together.
Nike will drop the Dunk Low “CBGB” on June 2, 2026 for $130. There’s another themed Dunk releasing soon, but at least this one has an actual cultural reference rather than playing another color story.
