Devin Booker’s Nike Book 2 Officially Unveiled

Published on

The Nike Book 2 finally got its first real-life moment, and Devin Booker made sure it happened on his terms. He unveiled the shoe at Nike’s Blue Ribbon Studio before lacing it up against Portland, turning the media preview into a true hometown nod. It felt intentional, almost like he wanted fans to see where this next chapter begins.

Nike crafted the Book 2 around Booker’s request for a lower, lighter, closer-to-the-court fit. The midsole features a forefoot Zoom Air unit, soft Cushlon 3.0 foam and a plush sockliner for even comfort. The lower profile sheds about five percent of the weight, noticeable in crisper movements and quicker takeoffs. That’s the detail hoopers will notice immediately.

The upper tells its own story. Some versions lean into a molded modern build, while others use a Spiridon-style webbed mesh that feels more vintage. Booker blended cues from the Spiridon, Cradle Rock, Nyjah 2, and Air Force 1 to create something familiar but fresh. The outsole nods to the desert with sun-stamped herringbone, cactus-needle lines, and tiny asterisks Booker sketched himself.

Two opening colorways headline the drop: the orange “Phoenix” pair and the darker “Rising” edition. Both tap into Booker’s connection with the Suns and the city he represents nightly.

The apparel line deepens the storytelling. Booker helped design eight sun-faded pieces ranging from warm hoodies to raw-edge cutoffs and woven pants. The tones feel lived-in, almost like gear that already has memories attached. My early favorite is the long-sleeve honoring his Cane Corso, Haven.
