Nike is reaching into their archives from the Atlanta Olympics for 2026. To celebrate the brand’ Atlanta Summer Olympics 1996 30th anniversary, they are releasing the Air Trainer SC. The shoe sported teal for the 20th anniversary release back in 2016, but opts for purple suede this time around.

The Nike Air Trainer SC “Atlanta Olympics 30th Anniversary” is set to release June 1st for $140. Shoes will be unisex fitted and available via Nike.com and select retailers.

Purple dominates the majority of the upper, spanning the shaggy suede overlays and coordinated leather panels. White is used on the tongue, laces, midsole, straps and side panel accents, which helps to break up the darker upper. Gold hardware brings an Olympics-inspired touch without going overboard.

Nike has even found ways to include Atlanta nods in subtle ways. Stitched on the right tongue is an embroidered peach, a shout-out to Atlanta, the city that hosted the 1996 Games. Meanwhile, the left tongue preserves Nike gold branding, while inside the sole is written “96” to directly tie the release to the games.

Color speaks loudest right underfoot. Red, teal, yellow and orange hits can be seen through the translucent outsole, pulling colorways from the bright and vibrant Atlanta Olympics branding prominently used during the Games.

Nike’ Air Trainer SC has history within cross-training lineage, making the Olympic flavor fitting on the shoe. The colorway isn’t another dip into the teal colored pair from 2016, but carries on the Atlanta theme with a new anniversary treatment.

Details you can expect to see are purple suede, white contrast details, gold accents, peach embroidered tongues, “96” insoles, and a multi-colored translucent outsole.
