The Nike Air Tech Challenge 2 is getting a “Back to the Future” makeover for the 2026 US Open. Inspired by Marty McFly’s Nike Mag, the retro tennis model brings the movie sneaker’s familiar grey-and-blue look to one of Nike’s best-known court silhouettes.

Photon Dust covers most of the upper, joined by White, Dusty Cactus, Picante Red, Sundial, and Blue Tint accents. Speckled sections along the sides strengthen the Mag connection, while blue Nike branding on the heel pulls directly from the futuristic pair worn in the film.

The theme has appeared on other Nike models before, including the Nike Vapor 12 Hypersmash “Mag” tennis shoe. This Air Tech Challenge II carries a similar color story, but places it on a design closely tied to Andre Agassi and the louder side of early ’90s tennis footwear.

The Nike Air Tech Challenge 2 “Back to the Future” Mag is expected to release September 4, 2026 at Nike.com and select retailers. The retail price is set at $170.
