The Air Rift is leaning into one of footwear’s biggest texture trends for Fall 2026. Three upcoming colorways trade the model’s usual smooth finish for pony hair-inspired uppers, giving the split-toe sneaker a noticeably different look without changing its familiar shape.

Black, Dark Driftwood, and Old Royal make up the pack. The first two keep things fairly neutral, while Old Royal brings a stronger hit of color to the lineup. Each pair still carries the adjustable midfoot and heel straps, divided toe box, and low-profile sole that have defined the Air Rift since its original release.

Pony hair finishes have become increasingly common across sneakers, loafers, and boots, and the material works especially well on the Air Rift’s stripped-down construction. Rather than loading the design with extra details, the textured upper becomes the main visual feature across all three pairs.

The Nike Air Rift “Pony Hair” Pack will release in women’s sizing during Fall 2026. Each colorway will retail for $135.
