Nike was originally founded on January 25, 1964, as Blue Ribbon Sports (BRS), by Bill Bowerman and Phil Knight, and officially became Nike, Inc. on May 30, 1971.

As a nod to its Blue Ribbon Sports name, Nike is set to release a brand new Air Max Tailwind 4 to pay tribute to its heritage.

This offering of the shoe features a White-based upper constructed in a mix of mesh and textured leather overlays. Silver trimming, Black laces, BRS-themed eyelets, Orange embroidered Swooshes on the toe completed with “BRS 1000” printed on the heels.
