Part of the upcoming Nike Sunburst Pack includes a special edition Air Max Plus that will be paying tribute to one of the brand’s classic logos.

The Sunburst logo was developed in 1972 while considering how to translate the asymmetry of a single Swoosh to apparel. The circular nature of the design allowed for club names to be arched over it — a regular conceit in collegiate and sportswear graphics of the era.

Dressed in a Habanero Red, University Gold, and Black color scheme. This Nike Air Max Plus features a darker shade of Red used on the mesh uppers with a lighter shade on the mudguard overlays. Other details includes a mini jewel Swoosh logos, oversized Pinwheel logo, which also appears on the insole, atop a Black rubber sole.

Nike Air Max Plus Sunburst Release Date

Look for the Nike Air Max Plus “Sunburst” to release on August 31st at select retailers and Nike.com. The retail price tag is set at $160 USD.
