Nike is set to launch the Air Max Metro on October 1, 2026, with three colorways arriving at the same time. The lineup includes Pale Ivory/Black, Black/Metallic Dark Grey-Bright Crimson, and Black/Light Photo Blue-Illusion Green. Each pair will retail for $160 through Nike.com and select retailers.

The new model has a layered runner-style build, using open mesh underneath suede and molded synthetic overlays. Those pieces wrap through the toe, midfoot, and heel, while a standard Swoosh cuts across the side. Smaller Nike hits appear on the tongue and forefoot.

A long visible Air unit runs through much of the midsole rather than sitting only in the heel. That gives the Air Max Metro a stretched, lower profile from the side, with foam surrounding the cushioning and rubber finishing the outsole.

Pale Ivory/Black keeps the palette fairly restrained. Pale Ivory suede covers much of the upper over black mesh, with black suede around the toe and heel. Light grey support pieces cross the midfoot, while a black Swoosh outlined in white breaks up the sides. The midsole comes in off-white with a lightly tinted Air unit.

Black/Metallic Dark Grey-Bright Crimson is built mostly in darker shades. Black mesh and suede handle the base, Metallic Dark Grey fills in the overlays, and Bright Crimson shows up on the tongue, heel branding, Air unit, and outsole.

The Black/Light Photo Blue-Illusion Green pair goes in the opposite direction. Light Photo Blue suede takes over most of the upper with black mesh underneath, while deeper blue molded pieces sit around the eyestays and side panels. Illusion Green is worked into the trim and branding, and off-white suede around the toe and heel helps break up the brighter colors. A speckled off-white midsole sits above a blue-tinted Air unit.

The Nike Air Max Metro releases October 1, 2026 via Nike.com and select retailers for $160 each.
