Black and grey gradients are right in the Air Max 95’s wheelhouse, and Nike is going back to that lane with this “Black/University Red” pair for Summer 2026. The shoe keeps the base dark, using the red accents more like punctuation than the main story.

Sergio Lozano’s anatomy-inspired design is left alone here. Black mesh sits across the upper, with matching suede on the toe and layered side panels shifting through dark grey and black. That mix gives the AM95 its usual depth without needing much else. Grey lace loops cut through the center, while a dotted overlay near the heel adds a little texture to the back half of the shoe.

University Red shows up on the tongue badge, rear mini Swoosh, heel branding, and a few hits underfoot. Nike also gives the visible Air units a reddish tint, which helps the color feel tied into the build instead of just sitting on the branding.

It’s a pretty direct take on the Air Max 95, but that is usually where this model lands best. The layered upper already gives the shoe enough shape, and the Black, Anthracite, and University Red mix keeps it wearable without making it look plain.
