Back in 2003, Nike released a hiking version of the popular Air Max 90 that came with an “Escape” concept that was printed on the tongues.
For 2019, the Swoosh returns with a similar concept represented on two Nike Air Max 90 styles as a nod to 1989’s Lahar hiking shoe. Both are dressed in similar color blocking as the 2003 pairs, with one having a “Light Cream/Alligator-Pale Ivory-Black” makeup and the other sporting a “White/Neutral Indigo-Smoke Grey” colorway. This time around, the tongue label reads “Lahar” instead of “Escape” that was used on the hiking shoes.

Look for these Nike Air Max 90 “Lahar Escape” styles to release on December 19th at select retailers and soon on Nike.com. The retail price tag is set at $140 USD.
