The Houston Comets, formed in 1997, was one of the original eight WNBA teams and won the league’s first four championships behind the Big Three of Cynthia Cooper, Sheryl Swoopes and Tina Thompson and coached by the legendary Van Chancellor. To celebrate the historical four-peat, Nike Sportswear will be releasing a special edition Nike Air Force 1 Low “Houston Comets” colorway.

Dressed in a the Houston Comets colors of the White, Obsidian, University Red, and Wolf Grey. This offering of the Nike Air Force 1 Low comes in a simple design featuring a White smoother leather upper with perforations on the toe box and side panels along with mesh tongues and inner lining. Other details includes Navy stain-like finishes on the Swooshes and heels, with the former outlined in Red embroidery, and the latter celebrating the four championship years. A four-finger motif is embroidered onto the lateral ankle in Silver to micmi the Championship Trophy. A White midsole atop a Navy rubber outsole completes the design.
