Original Story 6/18/26:
Nike is giving us all another shot at one of the most iconic 90s fashion trends with an upcoming yellow plaid Air Force 1 Low. While Nike hasn’t officially announced a Clueless collaboration, the inspiration from Cher Horowitz’s famous look is unmistakable.

The yellow, black, and white plaid textile encompasses almost the entire upper, taking inspiration from the iconic blazer-and-skirt combo seen in the film. Nike pops of color with black leather for the Swooshes and laces as well as black metal eyelets and a black interior lining.

Everything fans love about an Air Force 1 can still be seen underneath the bolder fabric choice. A white midsole is the perfect contrast to cap off the upper. Nike finished off the sneakers with black rubber outsoles to continue the darker accents on the underside of the shoe. Plus metallic AF1 lace dubraes and classic Nike Air branding on the tongues, insoles, and heels.

Nike didn’t want to use any logos from the movie, names of characters, or other trademarks. However, once again, the plaid speaks for itself. The brand is leaning into the shoe’s undeniable ’90s pop-culture connection without making it feel like a costume piece.

The Nike Air Force 1 Low “Clueless Yellow Plaid” is expected to release during July 2026 in women’s sizes. Look for the pair on Nike.com and at select retailers for $125.
