The Nike Air Foamposite One “Sharpie” was spotted once again on the feet of Penny Hardaway during the 2015 NBA All-Star Shooting Stars Challenge. And now they’re being rumored to release later this year.
This “Sharpie” version of the Nike Air Foamposite One wasn’t actually created by Nike. Instead, Penny was being hassled by the NBA about wearing his all-Royal Foams, so he went in the locker room and took a Sharpie to meet the NBA’s 50/50 guidelines for sneakers back in the league at that time.
That all happen during the 1997 season and now years later, the Foamposite pops up once again on the feet of Penny Hardaway.
The shoe features an all-Royal Blue Foamposite base with a Black upper and matching Black Sharpie detailing throughout the Foam shell. An icy translucent outsole completes the full look.
A retro release of the Nike Air Foamposite One “Sharpie” would be something that everyone would love to see. And now we’re hearing rumors of that possibly happening as soon as this Summer as part of an upcoming “Sharpie Pack” that would include the Nike Air Penny 6.
