Following the launch of the 990v1 back in June, New Balance will be reintroducing the MADE 990v2 as the second installment of the MADE 990 Version Series.

As you know, the New Balance MADE 990v5 has become an iconic silhouette in the fashion world. The timeless 990 is approaching its 40th anniversary early next year and New Balance will roll out a first of its kind program to pay the legacy shoe homage. New Balance will launch the MADE 990 Version Series as a staggered release of classic archival models (990v1, v2, v3, and v4) throughout the summer and fall.

The Version Series will showcase the heritage of the 990 with each limited release drop, but will also include some new special edition, subtle ruby detailing alluding to the 990’s 40th “ruby” anniversary.
