New York businessman Bruce Sherman and former New York Yankees star Derek Jeter along with good friend Michael Jordan and thirteen other investors have partnered up to buy the Miami Marlins for $1.2 billion from Jeffrey Loria.

According to the Miami Herald, Jeter is believed to be contributing only $25 million of his own money who will essentially run the organization. It’s unknown the exact amount Jordan added, but the new investment brings Micheal Jordan back into baseball.
This could potentially lead to some Miami Marlins-inspired Air Jordan Retro shoes down the line, as well as plenty of the ball clubs players to wear Jordan Brand apparel and footwear.
