LaMelo Ball’s move to Minnesota has already given the Timberwolves a much different look before he has played a game for the franchise. The offseason trade pairs the former Rookie of the Year with Anthony Edwards, creating a high-scoring backcourt built around two of the league’s most unpredictable young guards.
Minnesota introduced Ball in the team’s black pine tree-trimmed uniform during his first official photoshoot. He completed the look with the PUMA MB.05 Low “All-Star,” a mostly black colorway that blended naturally with the darker Timberwolves jersey.
PUMA followed the photoshoot with a billboard campaign in Minneapolis welcoming its signature athlete to the city. The design worked Ball’s familiar “1 of 1” phrase into the Minnesota name, making his arrival hard to miss around his new home market.
The move also opens the door for a new direction within LaMelo Ball’s signature sneaker line. Minnesota’s mix of blue, green, black, and white would translate easily across future PUMA MB colorways, although no Timberwolves-inspired edition has been confirmed.
PUMA has not announced a release date, retail price, or launch locations for a LaMelo Ball Timberwolves sneaker. Any future release would likely be available through PUMA and select basketball retailers, but official details have yet to be shared.
