Kendrick Lamar’s partnership with Nike kicked off with the “Damn” Cortez and the Cortez Kenny 2. Now it appears that there will be a third version scheduled to release.
Shared by Dave Free, president of Top Dawg Entertainment, revealed a “Black” colorway of the Cortez Kenny. This Nike Cortez features a Black-based upper with a White Nike Swoosh and a Red ribbon riding up the tongue.
A release date has yet to be confirmed, but the Kendrick Lamar x Nike Cortez Kenny 3 in “Black” with a matching hoodie could begin releasing on May 9th at TDE x Nike pop-up shops that are scheduled to open in conjunction with The Championship Tour dates.
There are sixteen different pop-up shops, with six of those in partnerships with Nike. Those six locations includes: NYC (Concepts), LA (Blends), Boston (Bodega), Toronto (Livestock), Chicago (Notre), and Houston (location TBD). UPDATE: Nike joins forces with Kendrick Lamar and Top Dawg Entertainment to release a limited edition capsule made exclusively for The Championship Tour. At those six locations, there will be exclusive merchandise and a new Black colorway of the Nike Cortez Kenny 3. Nike Plus members will also be able unlock and buy the limited Cortez Kenny 3 throughout the tour via Nike SNKRS. Select merch will be available on TopDawgEnt.com.
