Today we went to the NoJo Kicks store, located in downtown Detroit, MI, where they gave us access to the very rare and elusive Drake white and gold Air Jordan 12 OVO PE. How they were able to get their hands on this sneaker I don’t know. I’m not even sure I want to know. But what I do know is that I couldn’t wait to get MY hands on them and see them in person.
If you don’t know already, Jordan Brand recently added Drake to their roster and they created an all white and an all black OVO version of the Air Jordan 10 and the Air Jordan 12. OVO meaning, “October’s Very Own” is the name of Drake’s record label and clothing line.
At first glance you notice how clean the shoe is followed by the hits of gold throughout the shoe. Next your eyes come across the stingray leather they used on the mudguards of the upper. That material has a smooth bumpy texture to it and it pops and adds context to the shoe. The tumbled leather quality was phenomenal. A very well put together sneaker.
I was scared to touch the shoe. All white with an $8,500 price tag ain’t no joke. I washed my hands twice just to make sure my hands were clean. I almost decided to wear gloves. I feel super fortunate to be able to see them in person and to be the only person to do a video review on them in hand on YouTube.
Once again we would like to thank the fine people at NoJo Kicks for allowing us access to their store and the shoes. Sneaker Bar Detroit has the ONLY in hand review of the Drake white and gold Air Jordan 12 OVO PE, on YouTube at least. Subscribe to our YouTube channel and continue to check out our website for all of your sneaker news, reviews, and release dates.
