The Goku ZX 500 RM and the Frieza Yung-1 kicks off the adidas Dragon Ball Z Collection, which includes seven silhouettes from the adidas Originals roster, carefully chosen to represent the characteristics of the heroes and villains to which they refer.
Shenron the magical dragon will also be part of the collection using the adidas EQT Support Mid ADV to represent him. The shoe comes in multiple shades of Green as a nod to Shenron’s skin color. Red accents from his eyes are used on the midsole as well as the Japanese characters, along with Yellow detailing to mimic his belly. Other details includes Grey scale-texture above the midsole and heel tab completed with custom Dragon Ball Z insoles. The shoe will also come housed in the signature Dragon Ball Z box that connects all seven characters.
Each shoe in the collection will be presented in special collaborative packaging featuring an individual Dragon Ball detail, coming together to create a singular back cover design.
Dragon Ball Z adidas EQT Support Mid ADV Shenron Release Date
Look for both the adidas EQT Support Mid ADV “Shenron” colorways to release on December 22nd at select adidas Originals retailers and adidas.com. The retail price tag is set at $170 USD.
UPDATE: adidas officially announces the “Shenron” EQT Support ADV Primeknit from its Dragon Ball Z Collection. For the final release in the series, adidas Originals takes inspiration from Shenrong, the Eternal Dragon who is summoned when all 7 Dragon Balls have been collected. Appearing in many of the series’ most iconic moments, the dragon’s legendary status is the perfect end to adidas Originals’ collaborative series, and the two models created spare no expense in paying tribute to Shenrong’s form.

UPDATE: With the culmination of all 7 Dragon balls, the collaboration will be finished with the appearance of Shenron the Dragon, which is re-imagined as the EQT Support Mid ADV PK. adidas designed two colorways for Shenron, one in Green and the other in Black/Gold. While the Green pair will release in December, it has yet to be confirmed if the Alternate version will be available as well. Stay tuned to Sneaker Bar for more updates.
