The adidas Stan Smith is hitting the road for a new “City Series,” with Los Angeles serving as the first stop. The opening pair was introduced through Sporty & Rich on Melrose Avenue, kicking off what looks to be a wider run of city-focused releases.

More than 50 years after its days on the tennis court, the Stan Smith is still one of adidas’ most familiar lifestyle shoes. The upcoming series puts that long-running silhouette in different cities, with local shops and creative spaces helping introduce each release.

The full lineup hasn’t been revealed yet, and there’s no indication these will be traditional collaborations. Instead, each Stan Smith appears to be tied to a specific city, with Los Angeles getting the first look.

This pair comes covered in faux reptile-textured material across the upper, while hairy suede is used on the heel. Gold “City of Angels” lettering appears along the inner lining, and the shape of the shoe takes cues from Stan Smith pairs released during the 1980s.

The adidas Stan Smith “Los Angeles” does not have a confirmed wider release date yet. More Stan Smith releases are expected to arrive throughout 2027.
