Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Converse have officially unveiled the SHAI 001, his first signature sneaker with the brand. This launch follows his multi-year contract extension in April 2024 and the debut of his personal logo in December. As Converse’s top basketball athlete, Shai looks to redefine the brand’s presence in the sport.

The SHAI 001 blends futuristic aesthetics with high-performance details. The design features a sleek, zippered upper with layered paneling for a bold look. A sculpted midsole ensures comfort, making it perfect for on and off the court. This sneaker embodies Shai’s vision of merging basketball with fashion.

“I wanted to create something new,” said Shai. “I wanted to bring Converse into my world and see it through my lens.”

Shai will debut the SHAI 001 during NBA All-Star Weekend, where he will play as a Western Conference starter. The sneaker is set to launch in Fall 2025, with additional colorways expected later.
