Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s SHAI 001 is in a bit of a unique situation right now as the Thunder star moves from Converse to Nike. The sneaker has appeared with both Converse and Nike branding, leaving the next steps for his signature line still up in the air.

The Converse SHAI 001 “Sun Ray/Egret” keeps the same design seen on Shai’s pair but swaps the heel branding back to Converse. The Nike text that appeared on his player version is replaced by the brand’s Star logo, while the rest of the shoe features a bright orange upper with white accents around the collar and lace system.

The difference between the Nike and Converse versions has made the SHAI 001 a unique situation for a signature sneaker that is still early in its run. For now, the pair releasing to consumers remains a Converse model, despite Shai already wearing a version with Nike branding.

The Converse SHAI 001 “Sun Ray/Egret” is already available through select overseas retailers and is expected to see a wider release soon. The sneaker will retail for $130, with an official release date yet to be announced.
