Chinese streetwear label Clot teamed up with Nike back in 2006 to release a special rendition of the Air Max 1 dubbed, “Kiss of Death” to celebrate the opening of China’s first sneaker boutique ACU. 15 years later, the popular collab is set to return in 2021.
The shoe pays homage to Clot’s Chinese roots reflective by “Chi,” that’s known as spiritual energy that flows through the human body connecting it with the universe.
Dressed in a Net, Deep Red, and Orange Blazer color scheme. This Nike Air Max 1 is expected to look exactly like the original featuring Beige suede paneling, Deep Red snakeskin embossing and ostrich embellishments. Orange detailing, a transparent toe box, which displays the insoles that shows the pressure points of the foot as a nod to a Chinese medicinal theory atop a translucent outsole displaying an image of the foot completes the design.
