Chevy x Nike Book 2 “Pretty Penny” Takes Inspiration From Booker’s Impala

Published on

Devin Booker has plenty of old-school Chevys in his garage, and four of them are now getting their own Nike Book 2 colorways.

The first one comes from his 1959 Chevrolet Impala convertible, “Penny.” Booker has actually used the car for a sneaker before, with an unreleased Book 1 PE showing up in 2024. This time, the idea is getting a proper release on the Book 2. It also arrives during Detroit’s Woodward Dream Cruise weekend, bringing the project back to Booker’s home state of Michigan.

The “Pretty Penny” Book 2 comes dressed in a warm Sanddrift shade that closely matches the Impala’s paint. The molded upper gives the shoe a smooth, glossy finish, while a flag-style detail inspired by the car’s chrome trim adds another nod to the 1959 model.

Each pair in the collection is matched to the actual paint color of one of Booker’s Impalas. Along with the “Pretty Penny” release, the lineup will include a pale pink pair inspired by his 1958 Impala, a silver version based on his 1962 model, and a dark brown colorway tied to his 1963 Impala.
