On the heels of their viral “Name Chains” and “Beepers & Butts” Question Low collaboration, Reebok and Pharrell Williams’ premium streetwear label Billionaire Boys Club unveil their next crossover take on the model with a three-pair Question Low “Running Dog” capsule.
Key to the capsule’s design is BBC Ice Cream’s historic Running Dog graphic that for the first time has been applied to an Ice Cream sneaker. Fusing classic BBC Ice Cream color palettes with Reebok basketball heritage – while paying homage to Pharrell and Iverson’s Virginia roots – each silhouette features a premium suede upper, a TPU patch on the tongue, all-over Running Dog print on the insole and the singular Running Dog graphic at the lateral and medial upper in place of its traditional Reebok Vector.
In true BBC fashion, the collection’s supporting creative campaign is based on “The Magic of Nostalgia. “Positioned as a dream, our visual campaign conveys that feeling we all get when we hold something from our childhood,“ explains Joseph Au, creative director for BBC. “The magician transforming the Basketball, the Running Dog pendant and the ICECREAM cone is symbolic of that extrasensory experience.”
