Aries and Salomon are back at it again, this time with an update on the XT-Whisper silhouette. After first collabbing on the Snowclog earlier this year, the two brands are following up with a fresh pair dropped in two completely different colorways.

The first shoe takes inspiration from Aries’ maximalist approach to design, featuring a gradient mesh, red suede overlays and neon pink accents. Its signature column motif is also featured on the collar, in tribute to its Roman namesake. An unabashed gorpcore powerhouse.

The second colorway of the XT-Whisper is more for those who like to keep it a bit more under wraps, arriving in a stealthy, all-black color scheme. Splashes of burnt orange and a bit of texture add some flair to the neutral scheme while still keeping a technical focus. Each shoe is outfitted with EnergyCell cushioning, Contragrip outsoles and Quicklace™ systems.

Trail sneakers are most often designed with performance in mind, with little consideration for fashion. But with the XT-Whisper, Aries has continued its trend of showing Salomon up on the fashion front while still giving utility some due respect.

The Aries x Salomon XT-Whisper will release globally on November 18th, 2025 via salomon.com and ariesarise.com. The retail price tag is set at $160 USD each.
