Nike Basketball is already giving fans an early look at what could be the next chapter in its GT lineup.
During a workout ahead of NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, Washington Wizards rookie AJ Dybantsa was seen wearing an unreleased Nike Basketball model that has not been officially announced yet. Nike confirmed the mystery pair is part of the brand’s upcoming GT franchise.

For now, the exact name remains unknown. The silhouette could be one of several GT models reportedly planned for 2027, including the GT Uptempo, GT Force, or GT Flight.
Dybantsa being the first player spotted in the shoe makes sense. The No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft has quickly become one of Nike Basketball’s biggest young names. He also helped debut the Nike GT Future during NBA All-Star Weekend in 2026, showing that Nike is comfortable using him to preview its next wave of performance footwear.
The shoe itself arrives in a low-cut build with a molded outer shell and bootie-style construction designed to help with lockdown. His personal PE logo can also be seen on the heel, giving the early sample a more custom feel.
Nike has not shared tech specs or release details yet. More information on this new GT model should surface as Summer League continues, with a possible 2027 launch expected down the road.
AJ Dybantsa dropped 27 points in his Summer League debut wearing Nike Basketball’s new GT model.
