The Air Jordan 8 has seen several exclusive colorways of the years, with two of them being the “Kentucky Madness” and “Kobe PE” offerings.
As part of the Air Jordan 8 OVO Collection, Jordan Brand designed a special edition Air Jordan 8 Kentucky Madness back in 2017. It sports a Black-based upper paired with Fire Red and Sport Royal contrasting accents. Drake’s OVO Owl logo appears in Gold on the back heel tabs, as well as Gold detailing on the strap buckles and Jumpman logos. As a nod to the school, Kentucky’s logo appears on the straps for added detailing.
The Air Jordan 8 “Kobe Bryant PE” was another extremely limited version of the classic shoe that was modeled after the original player exclusive colorway worn by Kobe. Jordan Brand celebrated Bryant’s final season with a special two-shoe pack of his Air Jordan 3 and Air Jordan 8 PEs, both in LA Lakers team colors that he worn during his season as a sneaker free agency durign the 2002-03 NBA season.
