This Air Jordan 5 “Pre-Grape” Original Sample inspired the newest colorway of the Air Jordan 5 that has been nicknamed “Hornets” due to its color scheme.

However, Tinker Hatfield confirms that this new color of the Air Jordan 5 was actually intended to be the original Air Jordan 5 “Grape” model. A change in color resulted in the White, Grape and Teal version that we all come to love.

The original concept of the Air Jordan 5 “Pre-Grape” was released today, with similarities to the pair that never made the final cut in 1990.
