Air Jordan 4 “Jackie Robinson” Releases April 2027

Published on

Jordan Brand will honor Jackie Robinson with a special Air Jordan 4 release in 2027, marking 80 years since his historic debut with the Brooklyn Dodgers. The pair is expected to arrive on Jackie Robinson Day as one of two Air Jordan 4s connected to the baseball legend.

Robinson made history on April 15, 1947, when he suited up for Brooklyn and broke Major League Baseball’s modern-era color barrier. His impact went well beyond that moment. He won Rookie of the Year in 1947, earned National League MVP honors in 1949, and helped the Dodgers capture the World Series in 1955.

Jordan Brand has previously made Jackie Robinson-inspired player exclusives, but this will be the first retail project created with the Jackie Robinson estate. Along with an MCS cleat that surfaced earlier, a standard Air Jordan 4 will be part of the celebration.

The upcoming colorway uses Sail with Dodgers-inspired blue and red accents. Its layout carries some similarities to the “White Cement” Air Jordan 4, including cement print on the wings and midsole. Blue covers the eyelets, lower midsole, and select branding, while red appears on the Jumpman.

The Jackie Robinson details are what separate the release. The heels feature Nike Air alongside Robinson’s retired No. 42, while “Robinson” appears behind the tongue. The overall palette also connects back to the Brooklyn Dodgers.
