Jordan Brand has created Jackie Robinson-inspired exclusives before, but none of those pairs ever made it beyond the player-only stage. That will change in Summer 2027 with the Air Jordan 4 MCS “Jackie Robinson”, the first retail release made in partnership with the Jackie Robinson estate.
The cleated Air Jordan 4 pulls its colors from Robinson’s years with the Brooklyn Dodgers. Several shades of blue cover the upper, including Royal Blue, Dark Royal Blue, and Lake Blue, while Pale Ivory breaks things up across the laces and midsole. The mesh, tongue, liner, and textile mudguard all stay within the blue color palette, giving the shoe a look that connects directly to the Dodgers without overcomplicating it.
Most of the meaning comes from the smaller details. Robinson’s signature appears along the lateral side, and his No. 42 is placed on the tongues. The translucent heel tabs are backed by a photo of Robinson, adding a more personal tribute that separates the cleats from a standard team-inspired colorway.
Air Jordan 4 MCS Jackie Robinson Cleats Release Date
The Air Jordan 4 MCS “Jackie Robinson” is expected to release during Summer 2027 for $225 through select Jordan Brand retailers and Nike.com. An April 15th launch around Jackie Robinson Day is possible, though Jordan Brand has not confirmed an exact date.
