Jordan Brand looks to be celebrating both the 30th Anniversary of Spike Lee’s “Do The Right Thing” film and the Air Jordan 4 with two colorways that pays tribute to Sal’s Pizzeria.
Salvatore “Sal” Fragione is the Italian owner of the pizzeria located in Brooklyn. A neighborhood local, Buggin’ Out becomes upset when he sees that the pizzeria has only pictures of famous Italian Americans on the wall when most of his customers are black – which would eventually lead into violence. Mookie (Spike Lee) works for Sal in Sal’s Pizzeria as a pizza delivery man.
One pair comes dressed in White and the other in Black, while both come with Gorge Green and Varsity Red accents. No leaked photos have surfaced, so its unknown if they’ll have special detailing as a nod to the film.
Air Jordan 4 Do The Right Thing Sal’s Pizzeria Release Date
While the inspiration behind the shoes have yet to be confirmed, both Air Jordan 4s will release this April 2019 at select Jordan Brand retailers and Nike.com.
