Jordan Brand is reaching back to one of the most expressive moments of Michael Jordan’s early career with the upcoming Air Jordan 4 “Comic” colorway. Set for a July 2026 release, the pair draws directly from MJ’s 1985 comic-style “Dunk” T-shirts, translating their bold graphics into a modern Jordan 4 execution rather than a loose pop-art nod.

The foundation stays intentionally clean. An Off White leather upper gives the silhouette breathing room, letting the comic references do the talking. Fire Pink and Light Arctic Pink eyelets appear in jagged, cut-out shapes that mirror the explosive lettering found on the vintage tees. The look feels graphic, but controlled, keeping the Air Jordan 4’s structure intact.

At the heel, the retro Nike Air branding becomes the focal point. Finished with a dotted comic-print texture and a red-to-orange gradient, the logo looks lifted straight from a mid-’80s illustration. It’s a small detail, but one that anchors the concept firmly in Jordan Brand history.

The midsole adds another layer of storytelling. A Muslin-tinted finish and softly yellowed Air unit introduce an aged effect, giving the shoe a lightly worn, archival feel. Neutral Grey and Anthracite accents steady the palette, while a muted pink outsole quietly ties back to the upper’s brighter hits.

Side mesh panels feature a subtle gradient that shifts from orange to pink, echoing the motion effects seen in the original apparel graphics. It’s a thoughtful touch that reinforces the theme without overpowering the design.

Air Jordan 4 Comic Release Date

The Air Jordan 4 “Comic” is expected to release in full family sizing on July 25, 2026, priced at $220 USD. Official images and final release details should surface closer to launch.
