Tonight is the NBA skills challenge, but the internet is blowing up for another reason. Fat Joe busted out a never-before-seen Air Jordan 3 that’s breaking necks from East to West coasts. Known for his prowess as the original sneaker king in the 90s and 00s, Joe stepped on the court and had an MJ-esque “I’m back” moment tonight.
Taking a page out of Nike’s sustainability book, this Jordan 3 comes with an outsole made of recycled rubber and plastic much like Nike’s Space Hippie series. The influence doesn’t stop there though. A closer look at the heel tabs and elephant print reveals a Metallic iridescent design that resembles the rainbow affects of an oil slick. One might even go as far as calling these the “Space Hippie” Jordan 3s. If you look close, an additional easter egg appears on the tongue where we see Tinker Hatfield’s signature emerging from the “oil slick.”
We’re not holding our breath for a release on this Air Jordan 3 Crater “Space Hippie” Sample as they appear to be a one off made for Fat Joe. But if anything changes, we’ll keep you updated.
