Boyz II Men Debut Exclusive Air Jordan 11 at MLB All-Star Game

Philadelphia’s own Boyz II Men stepped onto the field for the 2026 MLB All-Star Game wearing an Air Jordan 11 created specifically for their performance. The hometown group debuted the exclusive pair at home plate, adding a new moment to its decades-long connection with the model.

Jordan Brand reworked the familiar “Concord” color blocking rather than copying it outright. Black molded leather covers the upper, while a smooth white mudguard wraps around the base. That arrangement reverses the traditional white-and-black setup, though the shape and sharp contrast still make the inspiration easy to recognize.

The packaging leans into a story that has followed Boyz II Men since the mid-1990s. For years, the group has been credited with wearing the Air Jordan 11 “Concord” during the 1996 Grammy Awards, months before the sneaker reached stores. Michael Jordan has referenced the story himself, helping it become a familiar part of Air Jordan history.

There is still some uncertainty surrounding the original claim. No widely known photos or video appear to show Boyz II Men wearing the “Concord” during that Grammy appearance. Other R&B groups from the era, including 112 and Take 6, were photographed performing in the model, so those separate moments may have blended together over time.

Whatever happened in 1996, the group now has a confirmed Air Jordan 11 moment of its own. The black-and-white Player Exclusive was made for Boyz II Men and worn during one of Philadelphia’s biggest sporting events.

Jordan Brand also has more Air Jordan 11 releases reportedly planned around the 30th anniversary of Space Jam, including “Space Jam”, “Monstars”, and “Space Jam Galaxy” colorways. A public release for the Boyz II Men Air Jordan 11 has yet to be announced.
