adidas is digging back into its football archive with the Megaride F50, a new hybrid that pulls from two very different eras. With the FIFA World Cup getting closer, the timing makes sense, and the result feels like a clear play at bringing football style back into everyday rotation.

The adidas Megaride F50 “Lucid Aquamarine” combines details from the F50+ soccer cleat and the Ambition PowerBounce runner, which gives the shoe a look that feels sharp and a little unexpected. A mesh upper keeps things light, while the Spider cage through the midfoot adds the kind of structure that stands out right away. Underneath, the Megaride sole does most of the heavy lifting and gives the pair its boldest feature.

The midsole design also reaches into adidas running history. Smaller circular bounce pods reference classic PowerBounce models and help break up the shape in a way that feels true to that era. That mix of football roots and performance-running influence gives the Megaride F50 a different kind of energy than most archive-based releases.

The “Lucid Aquamarine” colorway pushes that connection even further with an electric blue and black finish borrowed from the original 2004 F50 Spider cleat. That detail gives the release more purpose and makes it feel like adidas actually knew what story it wanted to tell here.
