Action Bronson isn’t wasting much time adding to the New Balance 2811 lineup. After introducing the model earlier this year in the “Mikročpske” colorway, he’s already back with two more pairs called “Blackjacques” and “The Whisperer.”
The New Balance 2811 is Bronson’s first signature model with the brand, built with a completely new upper and the sole unit from the New Balance 2010. That mix gives the shoe its own identity while keeping a familiar setup underfoot.
“Blackjacques” takes the darker route, while “The Whisperer” goes in the opposite direction with a mostly white and black color scheme. Neither pair is as loud as some of Bronson’s earlier New Balance work, but touches of red and blue still bring some of that Baklava energy into the mix.
“The Whisperer” also had a strange road to release. Bronson said on social media that a large number of pairs showing up on resale sites for under retail had been stolen somewhere along the supply chain. “Blackjacques,” on the other hand, was actually the first 2811 colorway people saw after Bronson wore the pair courtside before the model was officially introduced.
The Action Bronson x New Balance 2811 “Blackjacques” and “The Whisperer” will release September 25 through SpecializingInLife.com. Pricing has not been confirmed, but both pairs are expected to come in around $200, matching the first 2811 release.
