Finesse x ASICS GEL-Cumulus 16 “Desert Rose” Releases November 2025

The Finesse x ASICS GEL-Cumulus 16 “Desert Rose” is rooted in the desert, but blooms with romance.

Pale sand mesh uppers are grounded by glossy black overlays and ASICS’ trademark Tiger stripes. Delicate pink accents on the aglets, lace toggles, and tongue logos add contrast and feminine flair.

A sculpted black sole with prominent GEL cushioning gives the shoes comfort and structure, while still keeping the overall silhouette airy. It’s finished with a molded “Desert Rose” carabiner, an inspired touch that blends art with utility and speaks to Finesse’s brand ingenuity. Combined, these elements create a unique, and well-balanced look that is both edgy and put together.

Entries for the Finesse x ASICS GEL-Cumulus 16 “Desert Rose” are open now through Nov. 5 on Finessestore.com. It will release wider on Nov. 14.

John Geiger Teases Possible Nike Air Force 1 Collaboration

They ain’t customs.” That’s how John Geiger set the internet buzzing after revealing what looks like a potential Nike Air Force 1 collaboration.

The independent designer, famous for his GF-01 silhouette and “Misplaced Checks” concept, first stirred up the sneaker world in 2015 with his take on Nike’s popular silhouette, adding a dose of luxury to the icon. His most recent iteration from 2017, made in collaboration with The Shoe Surgeon, reaffirmed the designer’s position as a purveyor of edgy aesthetics. However, in 2021, he was slapped with a copyright infringement lawsuit by the Swoosh regarding similarities between Nike products and his own work. The following year, the parties involved reached a settlement, thus clearing the way for the artist, both from a legal and creative standpoint.

Now, the teaser from Geiger for what could be the next chapter in the storyline featuring a close-up on what appears to be a white tumbled-leather upper with Swoosh-shaped pieces in overlapping exotic textures, “Geiger” lace tips, and branded tissue paper — which are also some of the most distinctive elements of the previously mentioned work — is the sneaker culture comeback moment we didn’t know we needed.

A court battle, a settlement, and then potentially an official collaboration between Nike and the infamous independent designer? Add some art, controversy, a healthy dose of heritage, and you have a winning recipe. Still, the sneakers in question lack any direct connection to the Swoosh, but this being the online universe, the brand’s comeback could be closer than we think.

For now, stay tuned for more information as the project progresses.

Infinite Archives x Air Jordan 17 Low “Beach” Releases October 2025

UPDATE 10/15/25: Official photos for the Infinite Archives x Air Jordan 17 Low have been added below. The shoe is scheduled to release October 17, 2025 retailing for $255 USD. A raffle is currently live via infinitearchives.com.

Original Story 8/12/25:
The Infinite Archives x Air Jordan 17 Low “Beach” has finally been revealed in its retail-ready form after months of speculation. A pair of early leaks from earlier this year have since been proven to be unreleased samples that were altered from the official release, while this release fits with the anime-inspired marketing that Infinite Archives has teased out thus far, and builds the shoe’s visual language to a larger, bolder story.

Infinite Archives’ take on the AJ17 Low was influenced by the original model as well as Mike Bibby player exclusives, with the most notable feature being its multi-color outsole. The sneaker also features smooth leather toe caps, tumbled leather on the side panels, and perforated black leather on the tongue and collar. Its most defining feature is its translucent TPU midfoot cage that exposes the blow-molded Air unit, as well as a color-shifting heel clip.

The “Beach” colorway combines cream and black tones for a look that is both classic and striking. Metallic “IA” and “23” badges, embroidered Jumpman logos, and “PEEL OFF” markings on the holographic heel strip continue the AJ17’s unique design language.

Salehe Bembury Teases Upcoming New Balance Colorways in “I Make Shoes” Book

Salehe Bembury just released a new book, I Make Shoes, that delves into his storied career as a footwear designer. The New York–native has designed for the likes of Cole Haan, Yeezy, and New Balance, and the new tome, which is his first book, chronicles his journey from his beginnings to now. From Yeezy 500s to ON9s, Bembury displays his works in a photo-essay that reflects on how his understanding of texture and silhouette has developed over time.

Fans of the designer and avid sneaker collectors quickly identified Easter eggs hidden throughout the book, namely four exclusive New Balance sneakers, with two being New Balance 1000s and the other two New Balance 992s. Each of the kicks show off Salehe’s signature approach to storytelling through color. One of the 1000s shows off the “sibling” scheme with multicolor three-dimensional panels and floral cutouts. Another pairs terracotta suede with blue contrasts. The two previously unannounced 992s are more earthy and muted in tone with one version offering mossy greens and blues and another soft pinks with gradient detailing and sunset-inspired “N” logos.

This is precisely the level of detail that sneakerheads obsess over, with slight variations of hue that balance visual appeal with functionality and street wear. This is also the first time Bembury has gotten to work on the New Balance 992. This follows his “Made in USA” 990v2 which he released back in 2022.

No information has been revealed as to when these New Balances might release, but there’s a good chance that there’s more on the way, as the images tease the arrival of new projects on the horizon. Bembury’s world is always expanding and this new book cements that.

Nike Book 1 “What The” Releases December 2025 Limited To 1,996 Pairs

UPDATE 10/15/25: New detailed shots of the Nike What The Book 1 that’s scheduled to release December 16th, 2025 limited to 1,996 units. The shoe blends design elements from previous colorways.

Original Story 9/26/25:
Devin Booker is bidding farewell to his first signature sneaker with the Nike Book 1 “What The”. The exclusive one-off colorway, limited to 1,996 pairs, both nods to Booker’s birth year and the near two-year-long legacy of storytelling.

Booker initially showed off the pair at Suns Media Day, but fans got a first look at the sneakers ahead of Booker finally lacing them up for the first time on the court. The “What The” motif itself has long been a Nike staple, dating back to the 2007 What The Dunk, and it serves as a natural landing place for a mashup of aspects from previous colorways. With close to 30 Book 1 releases and several PEs in the collection’s history, the ideas for this one were abundant.

The left shoe pulls details from Safari mudguards, Chevy-inspired golden suede toes, Sedona graphics, reptile textures, and Halloween stitching. It even features nods to the ’95 All-Star laces, “Moss Point” lettering, and a Sunset outsole. The right shoe carries denim panels from “Blue Blood,” Flagstaff map prints, Desert Camo tongues, rainbow collars, and snakeskin overlays, all tied together with a “1 of 1996” heel tag. That’s the detail collectors will remember most.

The “What The Book” is not just a shoe, it is the end of an era for Book 1. Fierce patchwork, storytelling in layers and a limited release make this a collectors item before the release of the Nike Book 2 in Spring 2026.

Nike What The Book 1 Release Date

The Nike Book 1 “What The” will launch December 16, 2025, with only 1,996 pairs available worldwide. The retail price tag is set at $170 USD. Keep an eye out for more release information.

Pokémon x PUMA Suede “Mewtwo” Releases October 25th Exclusively in Las Vegas

Pokémon is back in the sneaker world, and this time they’re teaming up with PUMA. The latest addition to their sneaker collection is a Suede inspired by the legendary Pokémon Mewtwo. The psychic-type juggernaut takes over PUMA’s most recognizable silhouette, melding old-school vibes with anime-kissed details.

The Pokémon x PUMA Suede “Mewtwo” is finished in regal hues of purple, making a clear nod to the Pokémon itself. A dusty lavender suede upper is contrasted by darker violet accents across the Formstrip and the lining. Jagged lightning bolts run across the sides to capture Mewtwo’s electricity, and translucent soles allow glimpses of “ミュウツー” (Japanese name) below. Metallic Mewtwo hangtag and custom heel stamp work add collector-adjacent detailing to the pair as well.

This drop is separate from the previous Pokémon x PUMA 2022 releases which saw Pikachu and Bulbasaur. Here, Mewtwo is given more premium and distilled treatment to shine on its own. In fact, reports indicate the box itself will have interactive features, further ratcheting up the exclusivity of this high-end drop.

We’ll take that as a feature both sneakerheads and Pokémon fans will value — a bridging of the brand’s heritage with fan service that feels truly unique.

Original Story 10/11/25:
The latest Nike A’One “Candy Corn Queen” pays homage to Halloween while remaining true to Aja Wilson’s style.

FIRST LOOK: Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Floral Swoosh” (2026)

Jordan Brand continues to pivot towards spring, giving the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Floral Swoosh” a seasonally influenced makeover on the MJ-era classic. The upper on this OG AJ1 boasts natural elements across its construction, turning its attention to flora-inspired additions.

The attention-grabbing element is, of course, the shoe’s namesake, the floral Swoosh. Embroidered on both sides, individual leaves, flowers, and branches twist and overlap, even incorporating hints of butterfly or angel wings. Layered across each panel, the motif adds to a diaphanous collage effect, emerging against the Sail base leather on the upper in contrast with off-white overlays and the lightly translucent Coconut Milk sole unit below.

An artful progression on the AJ1 formula. Floral patterns have previously hit on non-OG 1s and the Dunk Low, but this is one of only a handful of times an OG edition of the Jordan 1 has been treated to such an illustrative treatment. Jordan Brand has shown an increased interest in bridging fine art and heritage, as most recently with the Air Jordan 4 “Cozy Girl” and Jordan 5 “Wings”.

It’s a style of risk that sneakerheads take notice of, a wink at luxury with an eye on hoops.

UPDATE 10/15/25: Here is a first look at the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Medium Olive” courtesy of @sneaker_sample on IG. A release date is scheduled for January 31st, 2026 available in family sizing.

Original Story 4/3/25:
Jordan Brand continues its momentum with a fresh low-top release. The Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Medium Olive” will join the Spring 2026 collection, bringing earthy tones and clean details.

This colorway features a balanced palette of Medium Olive, Black, Summit White, and Sail. White leather appears on the base and toe box for a crisp start. Medium Olive suede covers the toe, eyestays, and heel for a soft contrast.

Black adds a bold touch to the Swoosh, laces, and tongue labels. Meanwhile, the Wings logo on the heel also arrives in black. These dark hits provide sharp contrast against the soft white and olive.

The sneaker finishes with a Sail midsole and an Olive rubber outsole. This gives the pair a vintage look that fans of Travis Scott colorways will appreciate.

While this design isn’t a collaboration, it gives off the same energy. Its earthy tones and simple blocking make it a versatile daily option. The AJ1 Low OG also continues to grow in popularity thanks to its timeless shape.
