The “Black Pack” has two more Jordans coming up, with the Air Jordan 17 Low and Air Jordan 15 following the Air Jordan 14 Low and Air Jordan 16. Both of those earlier releases sold out at boutiques this month, even as plenty of other Jordan retros have been sitting on shelves.

Not every Jordan retro has been selling out lately. Pairs like the “Royal Blue” Air Jordan 1 and “Tour Yellow” Air Jordan 4 have been sitting at retail, something that would have been harder to imagine a few years ago. Some sneakerheads are happy they can buy older colorways without paying resale prices, while others see it as a sign that demand has dropped. The Black Pack has been a different story so far, with the first two releases selling out quickly.

The Air Jordan 17 Low “Black Pack” comes dressed in dark suede that looks more like a faded black or dusty grey across the toe and side panels. Around the laces, that suede is replaced by glossy black material with a textured lizard-skin pattern. It’s one of the animal-print details used throughout the collection.

Black gloss gives the midsole a shiny finish, while the laces and inner bootie stick with black as well. The mix of suede, textured material, and patent leather gives the shoe a few different finishes without bringing another color into the design.
