Landing in October, this Samba is covered in shaggy cow print, mixing black and off-white across most of the upper. The pattern moves from the T-toe into the sides and around the heel, giving the shoe a much different feel from the suede and leather versions we’re used to seeing.

Chalk Blue leather is worked into the Three Stripes and padded heel tab, with matching laces bringing more of the color across the top. The tongue and collar lining are done in black leather. adidas finishes the tongue with a metallic gold Trefoil label, one of the few details that stands apart from the cow print.

Underneath is the Samba’s familiar gum rubber sole, done here with a slightly translucent look. The shape itself hasn’t changed much, so most of the difference comes from the material and print rather than a reworking of the original design.
