Will Lowery’s No Tees Tour has received an investment from Jordan Brand. Instead of utilizing the full 18-hole format, competitors keep it around the green. Here players are given various shots and must work with what they’re dealt.
The format is often summed up as “H.O.R.S.E. meets golf,” which gives a pretty good idea of how it works. Players are put into different short-game situations and challenged to come up with the shot. The field isn’t limited to golfers, either. Professional players compete alongside athletes, entertainers, and creators, giving the events a different feel from a standard tournament without moving too far away from the actual game.
Jordan Brand getting behind the project also makes sense given Michael Jordan’s history with golf. He has been closely connected to the sport for years, while Jordan Brand has gradually built a larger golf business of its own through footwear and apparel. This investment takes that relationship in another direction by putting money behind a competition platform rather than another product.
For No Tees Tour, the backing will be used to grow the concept and bring it into more communities. Lowery has positioned the competition as another entry point into golf, especially for people interested in the sport who aren’t necessarily looking to spend several hours playing or watching 18 holes.
The next No Tees Tour event will be held October 1, 2026, at The Baths of Blackwolf Run in Kohler, Wisconsin. Competition begins at 5 PM with a 32-person field made up of professional golfers, athletes, entertainers, and creators.
