Devin Booker is bringing back a familiar idea on the Nike Book 2, with a new “Desert Night” colorway that clearly pulls from the “Night” Book 1.

Nearly the entire shoe is covered in black, from the upper and collar down through the midsole and outsole. The only real break comes from the four Swooshes, which use an iridescent finish that shifts between colors when the light hits them.

The connection to the first Book model makes sense here. Booker and Nike have already revisited a few earlier ideas on the Book 2, including the “Halloween” theme and “Hector and Haven,” while still mixing in newer stories tied to Detroit and Chevrolet.

“Desert Night” keeps things much simpler than some of those releases. The blackout setup does most of the work, and the changing Swooshes are really the only detail needed to separate it from an ordinary all-black pair.

Nike Book 2 Desert Night Release Date

The Nike Book 2 “Desert Night” is expected to release in November 2026 through Nike.com and select Nike Basketball retailers. The pair will be available in men’s sizing for $145.
