Bobby Kim is bringing his streetwear background to Disney through Disney | Bobby Kim, an apparel project centered on vintage graphics and what he calls “wearable memories.” The Hundreds co-founder has spent more than 20 years treating t-shirts as a way to tell stories, and that same approach now carries into his work with Disney.

Kim joined Disney Consumer Products as Vice President of Creative for the Americas in March 2025. By early 2026, he had been named the company’s first Global Creative Director, a new role that gives him a broader hand in shaping how Disney characters and archival artwork show up across consumer products.

The first release features Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey Mouse on a long-sleeve t-shirt inspired by a Fantasia 50th anniversary design from the 1990s. Kim found the original during a trip to Harajuku, Japan, and used it as the reference for this updated version, keeping the hand-drawn look of the artwork intact.

That shirt opens the door to Disney | Bobby Kim Collection 1: Classics, which includes six more limited-edition t-shirts. The collection pulls from Disney’s archive while staying close to the kind of worn-in, story-driven graphics that have been part of Kim’s work for years.

D23 attendees will get early access to the Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey shirt on August 15, 2026. It will then receive a one-day release on DisneyStore.com on August 17 at 11 a.m. ET, followed by the full Disney | Bobby Kim Collection 1: Classics launch on August 20 at 12 p.m. ET.
