Nike is revisiting one of its standout collaborations from last year as the slim sneaker trend continues to gain traction. Teaming up again with French label Jacquemus, the brand is bringing back its modern take on the Moon Shoe, this time in a fresh set of colorways arriving sooner than expected.

That rollout is already locked in, with the new Moon Shoe colorways set to release on March 8th at Jacquemus boutiques. Pre-orders begin March 3rd, followed by an online launch on March 9th at 2PM CET via Jacquemus’ official website, giving early access shoppers a head start ahead of the wider drop.

Despite its name, the Moon Shoe isn’t designed for space. The concept traces back to Nike’s early track and field innovation, where the outsole’s rugged traction pattern left marks in the dirt that resembled astronaut footprints from the 1969 moon landing. That visual connection ultimately inspired the now-iconic nickname.

Jacquemus first reimagined the silhouette for Fall 2025, introducing a fashion-forward update that blended sport and minimalism. The design featured soft nylon materials and a refined, low-profile shape, quickly becoming a standout within Nike’s lifestyle lineup. Initial colorways like black, red, and sail/navy helped establish the model’s presence in the growing slim sneaker category.

For the upcoming season, the collaboration shifts into lighter tones suited for spring. New options include Soft Pearl, Fauna Brown, and Aluminum Pink offering a softer palette while maintaining the shoe’s sleek identity.

Jacquemus Nike Moon Shoe Release Date

With anticipation building, early access notifications are already open through Jacquemus, signaling that another high-demand release could be on the way. The new Moon Shoe colorways will officially launch March 8th at Jacquemus boutiques, with pre-orders starting March 3rd. An online release will follow on March 9th at 2PM CET via Jacquemus.com.
